Curriculum for Teens:

Winter and Spring of 2020, teens across the globe found their school years abruptly interrupted + life suddenly on a new track. For some, this meant a loss of community. For others, education. Still others are experiencing anxiety with all the uncertainty we currently face. That’s why we designed this curriculum. We know you have SO MUCH to say, and we are giving you a forum for saying it. At Chasing Story, we believe all voices are equal + this curriculum will get your authentic voice heard.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

Just like you, each course has an individual heart + soul with some instructors using videos, resources + craft practice while others lean into community space as a backbone. Instructors will facilitate group dialogue, answer questions, and hold space for folks to engage with their creative process.

PARENTS:

We know you are bearing the brunt of your student’s education right now. We are here to help! Our team holds the most talented + engaging educators, each masters in their craft + magicians with this age group. Together we carefully planned this curriculum and staggered our schedule to allow for maximum coverage for you and variety for your student. Our instructors will facilitate activities + lessons that engage, inspire + educate. Depending on course content, sessions could include creative work between meetings.

No matter the course you choose, you can count on each Chasing Story instructor to engage with your student as an equal + to value their work. There is a place for all levels, voices + personalities here.

You’re doing so much right now. We see it all: your hopes and your fears. Your worries and your enthusiasm. Your hesitations and your fires. We see you + we are offering space for you + your stories. No matter your level of confidence or training, there’s a seat in our courses for you.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

Carving out time for story + the creative process is at the heart of each of our workshops. Our instructors are each talented creatives in unique ways + their original curriculum designs reflect that. Writing Workshop, Yoga + Artistic Expression are just some of the methods we use in our Zoom platform courses. No matter the class you select, trust that at Chasing Story, we believe everyone is a creative + all voices are equal.
